I've written and talked a lot about Google My Business and how important it is to small business owners and digital marketers.

In addition to acquiring and verifying your listing, and the benefits you get from it. we clearly have seen that Google wants businesses to be posting frequently on their verified listing page.

See below at the "Other Businesses Like Yours Are Posting" example on this one client verified page. As you can see, it's a made up business, made to look like other businesses are posting that are in the same vertical / space.

To me, the reason is simple, Google wants businesses to post on their page. They want Google My Business to be the center of search.

So to me, the answer is simple - do it. Do what Google wants you to do. Every time we've done what Google wants us to do, via Google Ads, or Google Search Console / Webmaster Tools, we've had success.

This may be one of the most ignored, or possibly just unknown best practices in all of SEO.

Post on your Google My Business page. See what happens to your Search Engine Results.

Look at the data before you start, then look at the data after. We want to hear from you on what happens next!
