I recently got some positive feedback on a few of my recent blog posts that have mixed personal with professional, rather than focus on digital marketing and web design tips, and to me it all goes together in a weird way anyway so I'm happy to offer up more of my personal reflections in the blog.

Here's one I had the other day (Sunday), while sitting at the community pool with my wife.

This is the time of our lives. And I'm not saying that in the cheesy, "Dazed and Confused" or "American Pie" type way.

Seriously, this is the time. Now.  Right now, for my wife and I. With our kids, with our business careers, with everything. This is it.

The point I made to Kate was simply, "it feels really good to KNOW that this is the best time we'll ever have."

Not in a negative way, like it's going to get worse or something, but more in a positive way - like man, having this knowledge and awareness of being this happy and fulfilled actually means that in theory, the decision making process that I/we implemented in our lives to get here can actually be replicated over and over again to create and recreate the "this is it" moment(s) or time period(s).

I wish more people could feel this feeling and have this realization.

I believe anyone fortunate enough to be in a position to have a career in business has had or will have "this time" in their lives.

It's not by coincidence. It's not by luck. Of course, there's some level of "fortunate" involved, but 95% of the results we get are determined by the decisions we make, and the execution and follow through of those decisions.

In my case, the decision to start a business. The decision to work 90-100 hour weeks for the first two years of the business. The decision to save money and hire amazing people around me.

In my family's case, the decision to leave a comfortable life in the suburbs surrounded by friends and family for a new experience all the way around the world in a new city, country, continent and new friends, new languages and surroundings.

It's starting to truly make sense how deep this gets, and how the dominoes fall and turn into a beautiful work of art.

Decisions to experience new things and challenging yourself to get out of your comfort zones, when executed properly, results in absolutely liberating and unlimited possibilities of personal growth. It's exhilarating. It's time. It's now.

Marrying this feeling together with spending more time with people you love, and realizing that what it is you truly love about them are their qualities and characteristics that will never change, results in the simulaneous realization that NOW IS THE BEST TIME EVER, but also, the decisions and execution that resulted in now being the best time ever can be continuously recreated to in theory have multiple BEST TIMES EVER.
