I know I've written about a lot of complicated technical stuff as it relates to Digital Marketing. Take only Facebook, one marketing channel, for example. There have been blog articles about pixels, A/B Testing, video creation tool, reading ROI data, issues on how to manage content on mobile devices, the intricacies of various Facebook Ad types, and on and on.

And the reason why I've spoken and written so much about Facebook is because the proof is still in the data, showing that's where everyone's attention is, and it's the most cost-effective way to reach your company's target audience.

So, this one is going to be way less complicated, super easy in fact. It's the one thing I recommend all small business owners do to grow their digital presence, and it's the easiest thing to do.

Run a targeted Facebook Page Like Campaign for $500/month.

Why?

You're acquiring net new customers at less than $8 a pop, and sometimes as low as $1, that are in your targeted audience demographic, geographic, job title and interest area.

How:

1. Go to your Facebook Business Page

2. Click the Blue "PROMOTE" Button

3. Scroll down in the modal window and select "PROMOTE YOUR PAGE"

4. Build Your Ad and Target Your Audience.

This is where it gets fun. Not only is it super easy to pop in your ad creative (and I encourage you to try different types each month and see what works best for you - sometimes I use a photo of our team, sometimes our logo, and other times a design I made in Canva), but it's also pretty simple and fun to build your audience (this post goes into detail about building a detailed audience in Facebook so I'll save a lot of typing by allowing you so try this yourself and read this blog if you need more help).

For example, see my audience below. It looks pretty qualified for who I would want to see my content, yeah?

5. Set your budget and go.

6. What to expect.

So if you've gotten this far in this article it's because you have some level of respect for either me, my content, or someone on my team - which is great. However, I totally understand if most of you are skeptical about "buying Facebook Page Likes," but I can assure you this is extremely different than companies that "bought likes" back pre-2014.

You aren't paying some off-shore company to click your like button for hours on end to get you to 2 million likes later this year.

You're getting REAL people to like your page through Facebook's targeting capabilities based on their user profile and what kind of content THEY LIKE.

These people want to like you, and they are already the type of people who you've been able to determine should have a need to buy from you. So, with this $500/month budget I've recommended, or roughly somewhere around $20/day, you should expect 15-100 qualified new potential customers to follow your Facebook Content.

That's huge. And it gives you a reason to get your shit together and start posting good content on Facebook every day.

While this is the #1 thing Small Business owners can do to grow their online presence and attract new customers, here are three other easy, solid things they need to do:

(That wasn't a typo - those were links to three separate articles I've written that point to different data points around why you need to post 3-5 times per day on Facebook).
