Anyone telling you brands can't get reach and engagement off of Facebook or Instagram just honestly doesn't know HOW TO.

It's that simple. The truth is always in the data.

When we analyze the social media accounts we manage, including our own brands, we see two constants on Facebook.

There are two main ways to drive brand reach and engagement on Facebook Posts:

  1. Boost every post for about $2. Seriously. If you're not doing this, you need to. The data shows that posts that are boosted for even $2-$5 get 60x (yes, 60 times) the amount of reach and 10x (yes, 10 times) the amount of engagement (likes and comments)
  2. Tag other brand pages and people. This one isn't as turnkey, but with a little bit of solid content planning, you can make it happen easily. You have to go out of your way to see what others are doing on social media, and take every opportunity to document your interactions with others in real life (meetings, events, etc.) or even give other people / brands props by tagging them. Tagged posts get 20x the reach and 10x the engagement of non-tagged posts.

I realize that you may hear different stuff and read headlines about Facebook Algorithm Changes. The only details you really need to worry about are the ones in your own Facebook Business Manager and Google Analytics - the ones that tell the story of what's actually working well for your brand / business.

The data tells the story. Act on your data. The only way you don't get data is by not trying anything!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
