It's ALL personal. And that's not a bad thing, that's a GREAT thing!
Case in point, our new friend Thallen Brassel, attorney of counsel at Nelson Mullins, and founder of Lady Lunch Club, will be holding a Social Media Law class as part of Data Driven Academy on March 28, 2018 - SIGN UP HERE!
How did this happen? Well, in business, when people take the time to get to know each other and figure out what each person / company / team is passionate about, it's super seamless to figure out ways to help each other out.
Data Driven Design's Kate Hickey met Thallen in 2017 at an event hosted by mutual friend Lauren Reed, of Reed PR.
Kate recognized that Thallen specialized in Social Media Law, handling topics regularly with her clients such as:
– Common Social Media Pitfalls (+ do’s and don’ts for business on social media)
– Making the Right Disclosures & Advertising Claims (+ what proof you need to back them up!)
– Structuring Contests, Sweepstakes and Other Promotions
Knowing that these areas aren't regularly thought through by businesses, Kate and Thallen started having conversations about the fact that Data Driven Design runs a boatload of social media campaigns for clients, who likely have dozens of questions for her.
Long story short, Thallen attended a Data Driven Academy class of ours recently, and several of our attendees showed interest in Thallen hosting a Social Media Law class.
While some companies may have taken several months to have meetings about partnering on something like this, Nelson Mullins and Data Driven Design were able to partner immediately due to our strong relationship with Thallen.
We didn't know her prior to meeting her at a business networking event thanks to Lauren, but now we're all good friends doing business together.
If your business isn't "personal" to you, I'm not sure how much you're loving your job, or how much you're actually accomplishing.
