The rate at which all websites are trending mobile is a statistic that is often overlooked, as is mobile vs. desktop traffic share.

The perception is probably a lot different than the reality, and as a result, the assumption is driving the bus.

Yes, mobile responsive is important, but if only 15% of your audience is viewing your website on a mobile device, it's not as important as you think. If you're in the professional services vertical, (i.e, a lawyer, CPA, web design company, etc), you fall here.

If you're in the convenience store business or retail/food/restaurant business, your web traffic is more likely to be 70-80% mobile.
