I’m in client services, so I see and hear it all. I’ve worked for agencies, with agencies and directly with clients.

I’ve worked with salespeople, business development people, project managers, account managers, VPs, CMOs, COOs, CEOs, owners – all of ’em.

I have nothing but respect for every one of these roles, but there’s a certain reality to any business. In order to grow, you have to work your ass off and spend the money that’s required to hire good, talented people to do the work, or put in the time in-house to do the work yourself.

And there’s a lot to do. Basically, the answer to “should we be doing this” is “YES.” Yep, regardless of what “this” is.

Because if you REALLY want to grow, you won’t find excuses not to do the things you know you need to be doing.

I mean, it’s totally fine if you don’t want to grow your business. I get it. I’m not sure if I really want to grow mine. But what I do know is…

  • Regardless of what you think, your audience is on Facebook.
  • The more time you waste wondering if you should be doing something is time that you could be actually doing it to test whether or not it works for your business.

Any feedback is welcome and I’m always looking for guests for my podcast. If you’re interested in telling your story, email me at paul@datadriven.design.

Thanks and have a great day!
