I've written about the importance of Google Analytics and how to get started setting it up on your website.

Now it's time to dig into how to use it. The best place to start is what everyone wants to know - HOW MUCH WEB TRAFFIC AM I GETTING?

This information can be found within the Audience Reports.

But there is more important information than just the quantity of web traffic. Quality is measured here as well, and is a far greater indicator of the success barometer of your website than the quantity.

This video gives a solid overview of how to find valuable information.

Yes, I'm a data geek who loves to reference Google Analytics. But while I've spent many long nights digging deep into the data, it's not a requirement to getting useful information from this free tool.

Google Analytics can tell a valuable story about who is visiting your website, and what factors - both online and offline - may be contributing to the success or failure of your business.

Marketing directors, operators, analysts or admin staff who want to look smarter or rise the ranks need to use Google Analytics as a differentiator to do so.

Agencies need to use it to serve their clients better and drive real results, and CEOs and business owners need to use it to grow their businesses. Audience reports are a good place to start.

Thanks and have a great day!
