We tried an experiment recently to see how much extra engagement long from blog posts actually copied and pasted into Facebook posts would get, vs. a simple 1-2 sentence intro and a link to the blog post. The results are pretty interesting.

Essentially, we found that when you write an entire blog post worth of content into a Facebook post, similar to this one, you get 2-3x more organic engagement than when you simply post a 1-2 sentence intro with a link to your blog post.

To us, this video is a good example of how trying things and tracking results is far better than pontificating and debating while time and opportunity passes you by. The proof is in the results. And who doesn't want more engagement? More engagement brings more organic reach, which means you show up more often in user's news feeds and don't have to pay for them seeing your content.

Now get to hacking!
