Not only will having an SSL certificate on your website simply help you with your SEO anymore, but your entire reputation may be damaged if you don't have an SSL certificate on your site by October 2017.
The Google Chrome Browser will begin throwing a NON-SECURE message for sites with no SSL.
In sites we have Google Analytics access to, which is about 2,000, we have seen Google Chrome as the most used browser in the last 12 months, typically with a minimum 40% share of users on all websites.
