Make any Google Search now for a local company and you'll see map results first.

If you don't, it's likely because there's some paid ads on top of them.

Point being, Google has clearly decided that maps results will outweigh web page results for local business searches that don't include the company's name (also known as non-branded or un-branded searches). These are the searches you want to rank for, because they bring in net new customers for your business, vs. customers who already know you and are simply looking to find you. Those customers will make a search with your business name in it and will find something like this.

In this case, the map - as part of the Google My Business listing - is over on the right hand side of the page, where they user's eye is drawn.

In all cases, the Google My Business listing is what powers the search results on Google Maps.

This is good news for marketers and small business owners, because, the more you post on your verified Google My Business Listing, the more likely you are to rank on the Google Maps search results, which are now getting priority on the Google Search Engine Results Pages.

Does your digital agency know how to do this? We do. The proof is in the data. Post every day, and add photos to your listings. Case in point, we started posting every day, and added photos recently to our listing, and we're getting a lot more traction.

So now that we've showed you:

We're going to show you how post photos on your Google My Business Page also helps move you up the Google Search Engine Results Pages. Check out the video on this page.

Up next, how Google Reviews can help move you up to the top of Google. 🙂

Ahem, please review us on Google here. 🙂

Thanks for reading, watching and listening, and have a great day!
