Easily one of my underrated favorite things I’ve done this year so far is catch up with an old employee of mine, Trevor Denton. I originally met Trevor through my wife, who was his high school teacher. He was working at Big Frog T-Shirt Design company in Franklin, TN in 2012 when I told my wife I was looking for web designers at Cabedge Design, LLC, where I was managing director at the time.
I was inundated with resumes from designers, as Cabedge had a great reputation for outstanding visual design. I interviewed several people, but Trevor stood out.
You could tell there was something special about him, ready to burst through. He had his own company, Ginger Problems, and was a social media beast. A true entrepreneur with design chops to boot.
I hired Trevor and we worked with each other for about two years before he left Cabedge for bigger and better things.
We’ve all since left Cabedge, but it was great catching up with Trevor. We cover a ton of subjects in this podcast, including:
